The secret to a good natured boss is his pleasant master bedroom. It can ensure that everyone’s day passes off wonderfully. One of the best ways to have a designer inner sanctuary is its white walls. A white bedroom gives a chance for the owners to be more creative in their interiors; else light colors are preferable like anything matches with the pristine white shades. Shadow play with lamps or sunlit silhouettes can make it more interesting.
A bedroom is not just an ordinary place to sleep. It is a place where after an exhausting day you bury troubles, and also wake up mentally sharp. A bedroom is deemed troublesome when the people complain of insomnia, disturbed sleep, fights and negative energy. A combination of vastu and feng shui also plays a role in making the bedroom more useful. Whatever interiors, paints, décor used should be sleep friendly. Hence white color plays an important role. The color may be stark, but at night it can be dimmed with the use of spot lamps. The lamps can be decorative or even simple. But they should not interfere with the sleep pattern. They should be easily switched off when sleep comes calling.
Curtains and drapes of darker hues provide the best contrast to white walls. The prints should not be too loud. Avoid even having animal prints, loud stripes and checks. Simple paisley or delicate floral prints are ideal. With white walls, it is easier to change the drapes in different seasons. It gives a brand new look without much ado. A comfortable bedroom is such that it has minimal things around. Walking in the dark and knocking things over can be dangerous too. Hence mounted wall paintings that soothe the eye are beneficial. Mirrors can add beauty to any given room but Mirrors that reflect the people sleeping are not considered good hence mirrors should be somewhere that it won’t reflect u sleeping .plants in the bed room are not good according to fengshui .When the walls are white, the mind is also cool at all times. It is a meditative color than augurs peace and tranquility. It is an ideal shade to use for bed room walls as it helps sleep too. White walls also serve as the perfect base for colored paintings, wall hangings, clocks and mounted shades. The scope of decoration is much more when the walls are white. Any color can be suitable for the bed spreads, curtains and fabrics, floor mats . It is easier to coordinate the fabrics for the drapes and prints for bed sheets when the color is white.
The bed and its position is an important feature in this room. The position should be such that it promotes good sleep. Like any other part of the home, even this reflects on the personality of the owner. Is the bedroom good for you overall? Redesign it in places where it can lend some attractiveness. A room like this needs to be good and inviting relaxation. A well coordinated pair of bedding can be chosen to begin with. For the master bedroom subtle color schemes are ideal. If the bedroom is for teens or children then the colors can be little louder. Mild Yellow or cream/ivory or even the favorites colors of the ones who going to use the room makes ideal choices of color. If use bright or louder colors in your rooms chance are more for you to get bored after a certain period .Bunkers or beds, either way the furniture can be added. While most adults use their inner sanctuaries to sleep the teens also use it to entertain friends. Hence their bedrooms can be livelier. They will have friends come over; hence the décor can match their sensibilities. For younger children there should be enough space for the toys and books to fit in.
The trends today
In urban homes spaces for bedrooms have shrunk. Hence, smaller beds with white walls with minimal décor are ideal. They are also easy to maintain. Some bachelor pads have space for just some comfy futons. They can be best used with colored sheets. A good idea here would be to have nautical theme-use white walls with crisp cotton navy blue sheets or curtains. Instead of pillows, use bright and colored cushions.
Modern bedrooms can be made romantic and useful. To put life into it use any color with white combo. It can look fabulous. White walls with contrasting furniture or wall paintings or Use of rugs and carpets of your choice of favorite color can even make it better. It adds to the color scheme. With simple light fixtures, the entire look is inviting for a good sleep. In fact a simple B & W bedroom is elegant and looks aesthetically great too so give all the mats, curtains black and the walls white and maintaining it is also easy if it does not have too many decorative elements to deal with. With fewer accessories, it also looks more spacious and large. If you want a change of color in your room you can always change the curtains and mats and the bed spreads to the color of your choice be it red , yellow or green to give a new look to you room every time .
